will extra clamp stop a drip?
question: I had a copper line 3/8Th get a pin hole leak under my mobile home , it
was for the out side garden hose only,,I cut off the old copper pipe and
left 6 inches of copper tubing in length sticking out on each end and then bought the proper size
3/8Th's braided PVC tubing clear type and asked the hardware store and the tubing fit nice and tight but I forced it on over the 6 inch copper tubing then held with 2 stainless steel worm gear type clamps on it
any way the tubing has a drip on its very end towards the shut off valve
,I retightened
the clamps and still a slight drip small, whats the fix, I thought I would try to
put 2 more clamps on the tubing spaced apart.
Well I got it from the pros that If the clamps dont stop the drip I have to get a barbed fitting and its done. thanks everyone who helped.
do the job correctly with tubing & compression fittings. go back to the hardware, they can explain it. it's not difficult
