Please help with technics 1210 Mk 2 set up? ?
Hi, today i bought a used technics 1200 mk 2 that worked perfectly until i got the idea that the tone arm needed adjustment.... After a bit of playing around with the weight at the back, the anti skating and the height (which i didn't realize was locked and forced a bit) i realized that when attempting to play a record, the tone arm would skid right across. During this time, the stylus was thrown around and might have gotten damaged but to me it looks fine...However, i've since then fixed the skidding more or less but the sound is completely distorted and weird... What is my problem? Do i need a new stylus? Which would you recommend if that's the case?
